Salesforce Clouds: Blog Series, Ep 3
Here it is, number 3, the penultimate episode in the blog series.
Previously we discussed all things industry, in this episode, we will finish discussing industry-specific clouds. It’s going to be a spicy one!
Right then, let’s get into it!
10. Energy and Utilities Cloud
So first up… We have Energy and Utilities Cloud!
Another cloud under the industry cloud umbrella, brought about after the acquisition of Vlocity is the Energy and Utilities Cloud which provides utilities companies with a platform where sales, service and field service teams can collaborate from a single source of truth. This cloud helps organisations deliver personalised customer experiences through mobile and self-service. Check out this blog in which Rowan goes into more depth about the industry and how Salesforce can work for Energy and Utilities Companies.
11. Financial Services Cloud
Financial Services Cloud (FSC) is designed specifically for businesses in wealth management, insurance and banking. FSC leverages standard functionality from Sales and Service Cloud while adding custom functionality designed for the industry. It’s critical that advisors build trust with clients and Salesforce technology can help with this by allowing advisors to have a 360-degree view of the customer so they can deliver personalised advice and deliver service which makes the client feel valued.
FSC has several custom objects to make it easy to model financial accounts, roll up financial information for clients and track customer goals. Some other key unique features of FSC include:
An added B2C model to help advisors interact directly with clients
A household data model which enables financial advisors to manage a client’s household, business and related individuals in one place
Functionality which allows advisors to track important goals in a client’s lifetime, such as saving for retirement or a wedding, to help a client manage their assets in a way that helps them achieve their goals.
12. Vaccine Cloud
It was rather incredible at the speed at which Salesforce rolled this out during a pandemic. Vaccine Cloud helps governments and healthcare providers manage vaccination efforts at scale. Understand vaccination rates, track inventory, watch outcomes and communicate with the public.
The key features of Vaccine Cloud include vaccination appointment scheduling, capturing electronic consent, helping clinicians determine vaccine recipient eligibility, training medical professionals for vaccine administration, capturing self-reported vaccine data about recipients following vaccinations, showing forecasted vaccine needs, doses and equipment.
As well as delivering personalised vaccine outreach campaigns to remind recipients about second doses, providing certifications to people so they can share their vaccination status easily if they want to and much more!
13. Sustainability Cloud
Sustainability Cloud gives businesses a 360-degree view of their environmental impact and provides data driven insights to make positive environmental changes and reduce their carbon emissions. Sustainability Cloud allows businesses to track energy usage and company travel so that they can calculate their carbon footprint. It also offers carbon accounting audits in weeks instead of months. Having visual reports and dashboards with accurate data can help decision makers to drive sustainability solutions.
14. Communications Cloud
This Cloud is designed for B2B and B2C companies, it helps communication service providers (CSP) to attract more customers, increase customer loyalty and drive business agility. This cloud has many industry specific applications built natively in Salesforce. Communications Cloud enables CSP’s to serve customers better with hundreds of industry specific processes and product models, it also has the capability to help CSP’s to migrate easily from siloed legacy systems to this modern cloud based application. As well as enabling companies to easily automate processes from capturing accurate quotes and orders to authoring, negotiating and executing contracts in a timely manner.
So… there we have it all of the industry specific clouds Salesforce has to offer, catch us in the next blog for marketing related clouds and more!
