Salesforce World Tour 2022

The Inardua team had a great day out at the Salesforce World Tour. It was the first event since 2019, so we were particularly excited. Rebecca and Amy have highlighted their favourite moments.

Rebecca

Firstly, a special mention to Transport for London, a really smooth journey there thanks to the new Elizabeth Line, just 25 minutes from Paddington to the Excel!

Arrived in perfect timing for the first keynote, led by Zahra Bahrololoumi (the EVP & CEO UKI Salesforce). In this keynote, we were welcomed warmly, the highlight for me was the demo of the all-new NFT Cloud! Salesforce has invested heavily in NFTs and now you can mint and sell NFTs on the Salesforce Platform!

Following that, Amy and I couldn’t resist a few freebies. We got a pretty good haul, I am set for the year now with pens and note pads thanks to all the World Tour Sponsors.

Then onto the Sales Cloud Key Note, which was probably the highlight of the day for me. With a very exciting new feature on the horizon. With AI, Salesforce will be able to transcribe calls in real-time, and on top of that it will highlight keywords used in the call and then sales reps and service agents can click on these words and it will take them right to the point in the conversation where the word was used, making it easier than ever for collaboration to close deals and cases.

Feeling pretty hungry now, but Salesforce had thought of it all with the free food they had to offer. From mini quiches to waffles, from salad pots to fruit salad on a stick.

In the afternoon we saw a talk on Delivering Customer Value in Energy & Utilities and heard from 4x British Paralympic medallist, Millie Knight. Both are very different but equally as interesting.

In the first talk, we learned how Hive has really seen a change in customers’ expectations, an increase in customers' environmental consciousness, and how customers now expect a lot more from their digital experience. We also learned how British Gas is really constrained with what they can offer to customers in terms of a digital experience as they use SAP which doesn’t allow for easy changes and progression with technology, unlike Salesforce.

We also heard from Thames Water who have recently implemented Salesforce and how this has driven their Customer Experience forwards allowing for a bespoke level of customer service and allowed them to move away from capturing notes manually.

In the talk from nearly blind Millie Knight 4x Paralympian we heard how important her relationship with her guide has been and how they have built trust over the 7 year period they have been skiing together. In the talk this was paralleled to the trust businesses have to build with their customers and how now more than ever it is so important. 75% of customers won’t buy from a business they don’t trust. We rounded off the day with a refreshing beer sat on the side of the canal in the sun by Paddington Station. Delightful!

Thank you Salesforce and Inardua for a great educational day at World Tour

Amy

I was full of anticipation arriving at my first Salesforce World Tour in London. On the walk into the ExCel building, I was met by Salesforce mascots like Cody the Bear and Astro. I was eager to attend the first session on the day: Getting Started with Development on the Salesforce Platform, which was a great introduction to coding in Salesforce.

Then it was time for the first keynote of the day, which I watched from a screen in the main area. During an inspiring introduction, EVP & CEO UKI Salesforce; Zahra Bahrololoumi spoke about Salesforce values and the ways Salesforce gives back, to name a couple; 7M volunteer hours and 43.5M trees planted.

After the keynote, it was time for lunch and I spent some time watching some demos, the highlights for me were the Tableau and Customer 360 demos.

Rebecca and I came away with a decent freebie haul after spending some time at different booths. Unfortunately, I had to leave early so missed the last keynote of the day.

Thanks, Salesforce and Inardua, I had a great time.
