Welcoming Rebecca to the team!
We’re super-excited to be getting started with a New Year (and not just because it means we can say goodbye to 2020).
We’ve got loads lined up, which we’ll be sharing in more detail on this blog in the coming weeks, but to start off with we’re delighted to be able to welcome Rebecca to the Inardua team, who joins us as a Junior Salesforce Consultant Apprentice!
By offering Apprenticeship positions we want to be able to help people take their first steps in a career working within the Salesforce ecosystem – and we already know Rebecca will be a huge asset to the team, helping us implement Salesforce projects and engage with our clients.
But that’s enough from me, let me handover to Rebecca to introduce herself:
A bit about me.
Hi, I’m Rebecca and I’ve just joined the Inardua Team!
I love being outdoors; climbing, fell running, mountain biking, ski touring - anything adventure-y count me in! As well, I love spending time with my friends and family and have recently started to learn to cook some yummy vegan food, and I’m glad I have because beans on toast was getting kind of boring.
Why Salesforce?
I graduated from University this summer and like the rest of my cohort was faced with unprecedented times (personally my favourite phrase of 2020). I didn’t know what to do but it wasn’t long before I identified Salesforce as a career I wanted to pursue.
A career in Salesforce opens doors, and lots of them. There is room for progression and growth, as well Salesforce is the world leader in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and seems like the place to be. Salesforce can take you anywhere, it’s used by over 150,000 businesses world-wide in hundreds of sectors.
As well as the opportunities a career in Salesforce can offer, there are lots of other positives, a stand out one to me is the Salesforce community and Ohana, it’s nice to feel a part of something bigger, something great. Moreover, I wanted a career in something which could challenge me, solving business problems with Salesforce solutions sounded like the kind of work which would fulfil this requirement.
So, this summer alongside working as a live-in carer I started on my Salesforce journey, working towards my first certification by means of using Trailhead the Salesforce learning platform. Now having already obtained my first Salesforce certification, I am in a good position to hit the ground running with this apprenticeship and hopefully get lots out of it.
What does my future look like?
As well as having fun learning on this apprenticeship I also have ambitious goals, I’m going to be working towards and obtaining the Platform App Builder certification and the Pardot Specialist certification to give me an understanding of the full marketing and sales cycle.
On the flip side of this apprenticeship, in 18 months’ time I hope to have the knowledge and understanding of Salesforce to allow me to be a fully-fledged Salesforce Consultant. And then who knows where this career will take me, New Zealand? Canada? Or maybe I will love working with Inardua so much that I will want to stay. Only time will tell.
So how is it going?
My experience so far has not panned out quite how I envisioned. Firstly, I expected to be living in Bristol and commuting to Stroud, not living in Chesterfield with my parents, and commuting 5 feet to my make shift office at the other side of my bed room, but we’re in the times we’re in and I shan’t complain.
As we all know zoom meetings don’t quite compare to seeing people in real life but I feel very supported through our virtual daily catch ups and regular communication.
I’m excited for what my time at Inardua may have in store and I am very much looking forward to meeting the team at the office when restrictions allow.
Thanks Rebecca! Once you’ve experienced Stroud in person I’m sure any thought of New Zealand or Canada will be long forgotten.
We’ll be introducing ourselves properly as well in the coming weeks, as well as giving more detail on our plans for the coming year and giving the low-down on how we can help you take advantage of the Salesforce platform to help your organisation grow.
