Guide to Growth Ep 5. Enable Flexibility

Over the last few months we’ve been publishing a series of blog posts exploring the different areas key to the growth of any organisation, as well as outlining why these areas are so important, and the solutions we can offer through Salesforce to help your business achieve scalable growth now and into the future.

Sustainable growth requires a deep understanding of your customers, personalised engagement throughout the customer journey, operational excellence, and the ability to react and change at pace to the world around-us and the ever-increasing demands of our customers.

Enabling Flexibility.

This is the last blog in our Guide to Growth series - last, but by no means least.

In blogs one and two of the series we discussed how the Salesforce platform can be used to help acquire and retain customers. In the third blog we dived deep into the importance of great customer experience and how this can be achieved. And the fourth blog explored the ways businesses can drive efficiency to support growth.

In the final article of the Guide to Growth Series we’re discussing the importance of Flexibility. Now more than ever in a world that’s changing so rapidly, flexibility within a business is key.

Why must a business be flexible?

No industry is static.

Evolution and change happen constantly, and any business wanting to stay ahead must be able to keep up with current trends.

And it’s crucial that a business can handle uncertainty - what better example of the inevitability of uncertainty is there than 2020!

We experienced unprecedented times last year and with this we saw industries and businesses put under huge pressure. However, we also saw flexible, resilient businesses innovating to adapt, change and thrive!

Although we explored increasing efficiency in the last blog post in depth it is important to touch on it here, to say that flexibility drives efficiency.

Flexible companies, comfortable with change, can forward think and find a solution before a problem occurs.

Better yet a business can envision something great and create change to achieve and drive growth. Or put simply, as Harvard Business Review says, “companies must be really good at learning how to do new things”.

One flexible working practice lots of us are very familiar with now is the concept of home-working. We understand that not every company has the option of employees working from home, but those that do should seriously consider it.

Enabling remote working can reduce your organisation’s carbon footprint as workers don’t have to commute, and it can reduce costs as less office space is needed.

Flexible working also means happier employees, in fact 71% of people consider flexible working important to their job satisfaction!

Moreover, a study by Talktalk found 58% of people reported an increase in productivity when working from home compared to working in the office.

So we’ve established that Enabling Flexibility is important, but how does a business achieve this?

Salesforce is the world leader in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and for good reason, the platform has three release updates per year, improving continually and staying at the forefront in their market.

How we can help.
