Kicking off 2021!

January can sometimes feel like a time for clearing-away the cobwebs and dusting down the winter blues, but right now we’re really excited for what 2021 has in store, after what was certainly a memorable 2020!

We’ve already spoken about how excited we are to have Rebecca join the team, and we wanted to talk about everything else we’ve been up to over the last few weeks, and what we have planned for the year ahead.

B-Corp

From the moment we started we wanted to make sure that Inardua was set-up in a way which would create a positive social and environmental impact. To that end we committed to becoming a certified B-Corp. From encouraging remote working; to the governance structures put in place; to the benefits and support put in place for employees – we want to make sure we create positive outcomes across every area of Inardua.

To that end we have some really exciting updates in our quest to become certified.

First, we have updated our Articles of Association with Companies House, so that we are incorporated as a benefit corporation. In effect, making a legal commitment to our mission to consider social and environmental impacts, as well as financial ones.

Second, we have submitted our initial Impact Assessment to B-Corp for review, which means we believe we are operating at a level which meet the minimum requirements to become a B-Corp. There is huge demand to become B-Corps, so it could still be some time before the review is complete, but we’re super excited to have reached this milestone and are excited to keep making improvements to how we operate to ensure we’re making as positive an impact as possible.

If you’d be interested in becoming a B-Corp yourself, the best place to start is with their Impact Assessment tool which helps provide benchmarking, and guidance for where you can improve!

Volunteering

To that end we’re delighted to say we’ve started talking to local charities about how we may be able to help them with ‘pro bono’ support in the set-up of their Salesforce platforms.

We know that businesses and charities are under a huge amount of pressure due to the impact of Covid-19 and lockdown restrictions, so we want to offer our expertise to try and help assist with the great work a few local charities are doing.

We pledged 1% of employee time towards voluntary causes when we started-up, and in addition to providing ‘pro-bono’ services we are looking forward to being able to get out in the community as a team and volunteering our time directly to help out with as wide an array of charitable causes as possible in 2021!

You can find out more about how to make a commitment to corporate philanthropy at Pledge 1%, and if you’re interested in finding out how your organisation can help in the local community take a look at Neighbourly!

Growing the Inardua team!

Rebecca introduced herself in an earlier blog, and although she’s already dreaming of escaping to Canada or New Zealand, we haven’t been put off hoping to welcome more members to the Inardua team over the next year and beyond!

We’ve spoken previously about partnering up with LDN Apprenticeships to help provide people with their first steps in a career with Salesforce, and we’re excited about continuing to offer that opportunity in 2021.

We’ll also keep adding to the expertise of the Inardua team by supporting the team with training, Certifications, and added experience in exciting new Salesforce product features coming our way in the year ahead.

Salesforce projects

And if applying to become a B-Corp; supporting local charities; and growing the Inardua team wasn’t enough to have got started on already, we also have the small matter of supporting our clients grow by providing Salesforce consultancy and development.

We’re already really excited about the conversations we’re having, planning out projects for the year ahead, and as things begin to return to normal, we’re thrilled to be involved in supporting a whole range of organisations set-up for growth in 2021.

There will be plenty more to come on what we’re doing, including the (delayed, sorry) final entry in our Guide to Growth series; a preview of what’s to come with the Salesforce Spring ’21 release; and much more detail about how we can support organisations in specific industries such as Utilities and Financial Services.
