Spring 2022 Release - Inardua’s Countdown

It’s that time of year again the Spring Release is in full swing with the notes out, the Sandbox Preview has been released and the release weekends are just around the corner 14/01, 04/02 and 11/02.

3 times a year the people at Salesforce get their thinking caps on as well as listen to the people to bring new features to the platform to help us all work smarter and sell more.

And as ever, Salesforce has delivered some brilliant new features and in this post we are going to count down our favourites from 5.

This handy new update will save you time as you will be able to clean up data without having to rerun your report. You will be able to edit multiple records inline on the report run page, and make inline changes in multiple rows or columns and then save all the changes with a single click.

To enable it, you will need to go to Reports and Dashboards Settings and select Enable Inline Editing in Reports.

This is a fancy feature, I must say I am impressed. Einstein Engagement Frequency scans individual customer engagement behaviors to predict the optimal send frequency for marketing emails. The frequency category is stored in a prospect field and can then be used to create a dynamic list or engagement studio rules. So each potential customer will receive the optimum number of emails to increase the chance of a sale!

Pipeline Inspection was already a pretty handy tool, as Sales teams get AI driven insights about when a deal isn’t predicted to close and other factors that could influence the deal. In this release, Sales teams will now be able to see more metrics including opportunity score tier, number of days past the close date and the days in stage so with a glance they can see which opportunities need to be prioritized. As well Sales Managers can use these insights to see how their reps are managing the pipeline.

You know that age-old saying, a picture speaks a thousand words… and they’re fun too. Okay, so I added the last bit. With this new feature, you can add images to prompts in Salesforce with a URL (to save time and storage space) and make in-app guidance more engaging by linking a jpg or png, you can even add animated gifs – fun! This will increase user engagement and help with user engagement and adoption.

Number 1 - Convert workflow rules into flows using the migrate flow tool

Now this one is a tool lots of orgs will find useful especially if they are older and have Workflows.

Whilst there isn’t a set date on when workflows will be retired, Salesforce has said that as of Winter 2023 release you will no longer be able to create new Workflows or Process Builders, so might as well get on board now and it’s a great ship to get onto anyway with Salesforce adding new features and possibilities to Flow with every release. With this feature, you will be able to convert your old Workflows into shiny new flows with endless possibilities (okay so not quite endless, but they’re getting there I expect they will be able to deliver a coffee right to my desk any day now).

Now that is it for the top 5, I hope you enjoyed our picks. Below are the key dates to watch for in this release.

Here at Inardua we have been really impressed again by the spring 2022 release, as well as our top 5 there are plenty more you can check out here. As always there are heaps of new features just waiting to be used and the power of Salesforce to be realised. If one of the features we have mentioned in this blog or if any of the others in the release notes have caught your eye we would be more than happy to have a conversation with you if you think it could help your org and business, feel free to get in touch.
