Salesforce Clouds: Blog Series, Ep 2
Welcome to episode 2 of our blog series covering the Salesforce Clouds.
I hope you enjoyed last weeks episode where we explored Sales, Service, Experience and Non-profit Cloud.
In this week’s episode we focus on some (but not all!) of the industry-specific clouds, from Health through to Commerce Cloud.
Industry specific Clouds ensure digital transformation is tailored to the specific needs of different sectors, and is just one of the ways Salesforce is enabling great experiences across the eco-system.
5. Health Cloud
Health Cloud provides medical professionals with a complete view of their patients, meaning they have easy access to the right patient information including conditions, medications, appointment history and communication preferences.
Specialists, admins and patients can use the power of the cloud to get the information they need anytime, anywhere.
Health Cloud also allows for smarter patient management so critical tasks can be prioritized, and seamless collaboration across caregiver networks, with secure messages being sent to any device.
6. Education Cloud
Education Cloud allows institutions to capture complete view of learners through all years of the education system. Allowing schools, universities and colleges to create personalized learning experiences and a sense of belonging for their students to help drive success.
Key operations Education Cloud helps with include: the recruitment and admission process (through campaigns and brand awareness targeting prospective students); keeping in touch with alumni; model specific data architecture for institutions, from student relationships with courses to co-curricular activities.
7. Media Cloud
Media Cloud tailored specifically for media companies comes after Salesforce’s acquisition of Vlocity in 2020. Vlocity has been adapting Salesforce for different industries for a number of years.
Media Cloud helps companies using analytics and artificial intelligence to accelerate in the media industry which is unique, fast moving and vibrant.
Key features of this cloud include:

Whilst field engineers and technicians now have a 360-degree view of the customer when on the go, as well as automation of scheduling appointments based on availability, experience, location and much more.
9. Commerce Cloud
As the name suggests, Commerce Cloud is an eCommerce solution. In 2016 Salesforce acquired Demandware and in combination with the power of the cloud, Commerce Cloud was born. It is designed for consumer brands and B2C retailers.
This cloud helps companies grow their online business, streamlining and personalising the purchasing process, and creating a mobile-friendly shopping experience for customers.
