Salesforce Anywhere

Adjusting to the New Normal: Salesforce Anywhere

In our last blog post we touched on the inevitable rise of homeworking and the new requirement for increased flexibility;

We know that now, more than ever, flexibility in how, where, and when we work is needed - and with the help of Salesforce, we can help provide you with the tools and set-up to support home working, effective team management, and efficient work processes - so even in challenging times you can be confident of success.

We’ve already seen Salesforce launch Work.com, a tool aimed at aiding organisations react to Covid-19 and to help them reopen as quickly and safely as possible.

And yesterday we saw the launch of Salesforce Anywhere.

Salesforce Anywhere is a combination of platform services, some existing (Customer 360, Mulesoft, Tableau) and some new (Salesforce Anywhere app), to facilitate the anticipated longer term move to flexible working.

“The COVID-19 crisis has taught us that companies must be able to sell, service, market and collaborate from anywhere, and that won’t change in a post-pandemic world,” said Bret Taylor, President and COO Salesforce. “With Salesforce Anywhere we’re empowering customers of every size, location and industry to digitally transform with confidence in this all-digital, work-from-anywhere world."

Salesforce Anywhere combines:

  • Salesforce 360 – a single customer view combining Sales, Service & Marketing functionality

  • New Collaboration Tools – the Salesforce Anywhere app embeds chat, video, alerts and comments directly into the Salesforce Platform

  • Employee Data Model – already used within Work.com, the Employee Data Model provides the foundation for organisations to develop employee apps and better integrate with core systems which house employee data (think Workday, Cornerstone)

  • Mulesoft for integration and Tableau for analytics

  • Trailhead – to facilitate training

The biggest new item here is undoubtedly the Salesforce Anywhere app – put simply this is Slack or Teams type functionality, embedded right in Salesforce.

You can get a flavour of what this will look like in the video below.

We’re looking forward to getting a closer look at Salesforce Anywhere in July!
